SASKATOON – The Global Institute for Food Security (GIFS) at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) is proud to announce its partnership with the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) has led to the sequencing of a year-round jackfruit variety genome, making Bangladesh the only southeast Asian country other than China to sequence a genome entirely.
